Four easy steps to add a gift in your Will

Text

1. Decide what type of gift you want to leave

This could be a percentage of your estate or a fixed amount.

2. Speak to a solicitor or use our free Will-writing service

Terrence Higgins Trust is part of the National Free Wills Network, which means you can write your simple Will for free, with no obligation to leave a gift. Request your free Will-writing pack.

3. Include our charity details in your Will

Your solicitor will ensure the wording is correct.

4. Please let us know your plans

We're always very grateful to know if you have remembered us in this kind way. Please let us know your plans by completing this form.

Amend your Will

Text

If you already have a Will, you may not need to re-write it to include a gift to Terrence Higgins Trust. For straightforward updates, you can use a codicil, a simple legal document that updates your existing Will.

It’s important that a codicil is signed and witnessed correctly and kept safely with your original Will.

If your changes are more significant or complex, it can be better to make a new Will. You can do this using our free Will-writing service, which connects you with a qualified solicitor.

If you'd like to read more about codicils and amending your Will, please see our FAQs.

Thank you
