Our support services empower people to live well with HIV. This includes support on physical and mental health wellbeing and other factors that impact people’s lives such as financial and welfare issues.

Support we provide for people living with HIV includes:

  • Information if you’re newly diagnosed with HIV.
  • Grants to help with short-term financial need from our Hardship Fund.
  • Advice on personal debt and budgeting.
  • Support with work and skills.
  • Information on immigration.
  • Advice on benefits.
  • Helping you deal with and report hate crime.
  • Disclosing HIV status to an employer.
  • Support for former Macfarlane Trust beneficiaries.

The exact type of support we offer differs from one centre to another.
