I am an integrative therapist and am currently completing my Certificate in Couple Counselling at Relationships Scotland. My speciality is working with LGBTQIA+ people and people struggling with gender identity. I love working at Terrence Higgins Trust because supporting individuals living with and at risk of HIV is very meaningful to me.
My primary experience is in working with, but not limited to, people struggling with addictions. My approach is collaborative, and I aim to help empower the people I work with to take positive and affirmative actions towards rebuilding their lives.
I use mindfulness-based tools and other therapeutic approaches to hopefully facilitate change, in a warm and empathic manner.
Being able to help, hold and support someone through a difficult time can be one of the most valuable and important actions in life. To have the opportunity to offer this to someone in need is what I love most about my role.
I am trained as an integrative therapist which means I use a number of different approaches to connect with the desires and needs of each person.
In my work I see the formation of a trusting, safe space for the client as being an essential backbone for their growth and development.
I am a trainee counselling psychologist. Limiting mental distress and improving psychological wellbeing is a passion of mine that started early on in my life. I firmly believe in promoting a positive, socially inclusive image of people with mental health difficulties and the services that provide support and therapies for them.
My experiences to date covers working with children and adults in various settings such as schools, bereavement, forensics and refugee services.
