Fundraising
Our dedicated fundraising team at Terrence Higgins Trust is here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're new to fundraising or looking to maximise your impact, we can advise you on the best fundraising platform for the event.
We ask that you consider whether you're confident in reaching the events fundraising target before signing up.
If sponsorship targets aren't reached, it can impact our ability to continue our vital work at Terrence Higgins Trust. It can even leave us out of pocket, as we pay a certain amount for each event space.
If you have any concerns about fundraising at any point, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. We’re always happy to help!
Why we need you
With every step you take, during training and race day, you'll be doing something amazing for people affected by HIV.
Your support and fundraising help fund vital services including our one-of-a-kind sexual health helpline, HIV testing, counselling, and peer support programmes.
We are working to ensure that there will be no new HIV cases in the UK by 2030. Everyone living with HIV will be diagnosed, in treatment and care, free from stigma and able to take advantage of life’s opportunities.
Stand with us. Run for us. Together, we can end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030.
The difference you can help make
Thanks to the incredible support of our fundraisers — including our challenge event runners — last year we were able to:
- Respond to 12,591 enquiries through our free THT Direct helpline
- Distribute over 5,700 HIV self-test kits at no cost to those who needed them most
- Cover the cost for 500 people living with HIV to access My Community, our secure online space
- Win the case to extend opt-out HIV testing to 89 hospitals across England
- Deliver over 278 Positive Voices sessions, reaching more than 21,100 people with powerful stories about living with HIV
Got your own place?
If you're lucky enough to secure your own place, we’d love for you to join our team and fundraise to help end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030.
There’s no minimum fundraising commitment – we simply ask you to raise what you can. Whether you join via a charity place or the public ballot, you'll receive the same amazing support from our dedicated team. Let us know you have a place.
