THT Direct

Text

Our helpline is free to call and is often the first port of call for anyone wanting to know more about HIV or understand their diagnosis.

We're open:

10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday

The line will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday.

Our phone number is 0808 802 1221

This is free to call from all UK landlines and most major mobile networks. It won’t appear on your telephone bill.

Last year, gifts enabled us to answer 12,951 helpline enquiries.

Our advisers provide facts, emotional support and signposting to local services for those worried about or living with HIV.

We are also able to offer free tests to eligible users in a number of locations. There are also free tests available for those unable to afford our discounted price. Thanks to your gifts, we were able to provide over 5,700 self-test kits for free.

Visit our HIV self-test ordering website for full details.

Your gift will also help us fund My Community – an online safe space for people living with HIV, regardless of where they live.

Launched just last year, there are already over 600 members, with new people joining every day to discuss a wide range of topics including new diagnosis, sharing your status while dating, and obtaining health insurance.

I’m so proud of My Community. Within months, we’ve reached over 600 members, which means a lot of people meeting others with HIV, accessing support on their terms, in a safe environment. My Community shows that people do live well with HIV, and support is only a click away.
